COMMON QUESTIONS
Do new gutters come with a roof replacement?
We often install gutters alongside a roof or siding project so the whole exterior is coordinated, but we also handle gutters on their own. Either way, the scope is spelled out in a written proposal.
How do I know my gutters are failing?
Overflow during rain, sagging or pulled-away sections, water pooling at the foundation, and peeling paint on the fascia are the usual signs. Any of those is worth a free look before water finds its way inside.
What affects the cost of new gutters?
Total footage, the number of downspouts, the height of the home, and how accessible the rooflines are. We measure on site and put the full price in writing before any work starts.
Do gutters prevent ice dams?
Not on their own. Ice dams come from heat escaping into the attic, which is why ventilation and ice and water shield matter most. Properly pitched gutters and clear downspouts do help meltwater drain instead of refreezing at the edge.
When is the best time to replace gutters?
Alongside a roof project is ideal, since the gutters integrate with the new roofline and drip edge. Otherwise, before late fall makes sense, so the new system is in place ahead of winter snowmelt.
